Sit on the ground and dig your fingers deep into the earth.
Let them dig deeper.

Can you feel the bones beneath the earth?

Carved into the land like bloodied ancient scriptures,
A tale of suffering and the greatest tragedy.

Swallowed by hate,
A natural bond torn apart,
A desecration of the highest degree.
Earth and stone,
Blood and bone,
We are one,
But what have we become?

In an age where loyalty looks past man,
Only a respect for the natural order.
A time when we relied on, what was always there.
But now we are blind and misguided.
Now we must realise the mistakes we have made.

When a so called discovery leads to blood and slaughter,
A struggle for power and a right to belong.
Banished out by our own,
All the voices silenced.
Banished out by our own,

When a so called democracy fuelled by hypocrisy,
The smothering giant, taking what isn't theirs.
Blood will be shed to achieve their goals.

When false promises fall through, time and time again.
We must question what really drives us.
To love and nurture means nothing when you're faced with greed and temptation.
