Look to the rising sun, where these blood stained walls cannot be seen. This free falling society will only eat us alive. Look at the faces of those who are suffering, broken bones and shattered lives. Just tell me, how did it come to this? The new leaders of this lost world, All patriot saints condemned to hell. This murderous betrayal, committed by suited jesters. A final prayer with a heroes welcome. Just tell me, how did it come to this? Just tell me, how much deceit and misery can we actually take? Bleed on the flag, Bleed for the sake of redemption, Bleed for the name of humanity, Another martyr forgotten. Liquid black mass filling the lungs, Choking, writhing through the veins. The cause of death; relentless blind greed. Just tell me why. Scratch beneath the surface to see what really lies, This is a true insight to the victims lowly lives. Another name wiped from the slate. When the trial of the already condemned comes to an end, The world will cry, guilty. Not a single tear will be shed Not an ounce of remorse will be shown. Like a grain of sand in the wind, it will be forgotten. Crucify your leaders, Hang them from the gallows I despise the sun that beats down on their faces. Look to the rising sun, where these blood stained walls cannot be seen. This free falling society will eat us alive. Look at the faces of those who are suffering, broken bones and shattered lives. Just tell me, how did it come to this? Bleed, Another martyr forgotten. Bleed, In the name of redemption. Bleed, For the sake of humanity. Bleed, Another martyr forgotten, Bleed on the flag.

The Veil 04:55
Crumbling, under the pressure. A weight on the shoulders, too much to bear. But with great strength you will rise up. And prove your greatness. Hold on, Never let go, Dont cry. It's better this way. You will be sacrificed. It's better this way. People will scream out for your blood, The trust you had now cast away, No take one last look back, Close your eyes and take the fall. With these hands you will heal, You will shine like the sun, The message you carried, will be your undoing. It will, bring you to your end. Now remove your veil and ask yourself who is your god now? Hold on, Never let go, Dont cry. It's better this way. You will be sacrificed. It's better this way. Now remove your veil and ask yourself who is your god now?

Exhume the corpse of democracy, To see where it went horribly wrong. Postmortem reveals, a rotting inner core. On the cold metal it lays, Eviscerated and alone. Should we feel something? An ever lasting sorrow? The blood has dried on our hands. Are we responsible for what lies in front of us? Like Atlas, we carry this world on our shoulders. But our world is carried to the grave. Like Atlas, we carry this world. But our world is carried to the grave. The locusts swarm, like a winged plague Devouring all that the eye can see. No thought, no idea of the consequences. Nothing left but the corpse of a broken society. Should we feel something? An ever lasting sorrow? The blood has dried on our hands. Stand on the shoulders of giants To seek the highest power, But forgetting the path they took, they fall. Is this how they'll be remembered? How will they be remembered? Taking all, but giving nothing back. A timely fall from grace, An end to the human race. A timely fall from grace, Should we even feel disgraced? Taking all but giving nothing back. Take it, take it all. In his hands, our fate lies, Broken, deformed. Now lay to rest, this vile rotting earth. To put an end to this vile rotting curse. But what is left? Should we feel something? An ever lasting sorrow? The blood has dried on our hands. Are we responsible for what lies in front of us? Like Atlas, we carry this world on our shoulders. But our world is carried to the grave.

Rise. Suffocating, this flesh grey and rotting. Crawling through this cold, dead earth. Scars flayed, worms call you their home. There is nothing left to call your own. Bones broken, body diseased. There is nothing left to breathe. This darkness confines you. As life is choked from beneath. Rise. Once a man who stood so tall, Atop a throne which conquered all. The fate of man rested on your shoulders, A weight, a burden no mortal could bear. Dethroned, toppled and shunned. All in the name of a pathetic greed And a lust for a so called progression. All these lies built upon lies. Across this wasteland you witness their demise, Man versus man, like animals fighting to survive, In an inevitable apocalypse. All you stood for is now laid to waste. Was it all for nothing? All the lies have taken their toll. Rise. Atlas. Rise.

I can't believe what I'm seeing, Breaking the backs of the weak and hopeless. Smothering the smiles of the happy and willing. Concealing the scars of age and despair. I can't believe why. There was once a day where things were just and true, A day where its better to be judged by twelve than buried by six. Tides forever change, forever rolling deep, but somethings can never be washed away. A grip too tight, the fragile fall through fingertips too greedy to grasp. Countless lies, built upon these countless lives. An empire stands to fall. Atop your white tower, you hear and ignore, The pleas of a thousand voices. Countless lies, built upon these countless lives, An empire stands to fall.

Thorns 05:36
When all good things come to an end, What will remain? Will we be thrown into shadow, or an empty oblivion? With empty hands, we fall to our knees And wait for the earth to swallow us whole. The time of reckoning is upon us. Now pray, now pray to her. The land is scorched and scarred, The beauty has been laid to waste. The waters blackened and poisoned, Tainting the purity of our existence. As the wind blows the ashes of our fallen nations, New life is breathed within. As thorns of steel puncture virgin flesh, The earth shudders out a single cry. She withers away, like the lonely rose Suffocated in a field of snow. She withers away... Will we accept the blame? Will we stand up and fight for change? Wake up and hear the message. This shit has got to go. Wake up. Wake up.

An eye for an eye, makes the whole world blind. Bloodied, broken, face down in the dirt. I spit in the face of those who don't deserve. This is the end of it all. Now bite the fucking curb. I watch the world crumble around you. I watch the earth as it devours you whole. I watch the skies to see your name burning I watch the lies that you're feeding the blinded. We are watching for the signs, The crushing waves which cannot be stopped. The only way this can end, Is with your downfall. The only way this can end, Is to see through these blind eyes. As far as the eye can see, There are people who still don't believe. Just open your eyes and see, There is nothing left in being free. An eye for an eye, makes the whole world blind.

Crush the butterfly, Smash the mirror. Double vision, senses shifted. The shadows dance on the wall. Divide the mind, splintered, twisted. Look at these broken shards, Fragments of something once whole. Contort the psyche, putting judgement into contempt Collapse into the abyss The butterfly burnt, now time is turned. A void now exists where we once stood. Hazy and unclear, No real grasp on the physical. Motionless, suspended. A dream far too real. Feet firmly planted, but the mind still wonders lost. Eyes wide shut, heart ringing true. The lines begin to blur, The ground beneath begins to stir. Footsteps fade, voices forgotten. No recollection of what we were. The butterfly burnt, now time is turned. A void now exists where we once stood. Divide the mind, splintered, twisted. Look at these broken shards, Fragments of something once whole. Contort the psyche, putting judgement into contempt Collapse into the abyss

Onto this life we breathe, Onto this life we steal. Steal the life of those, We crave most. Scrape through the flesh, pick at the rotting bone. Slit of the tongue, slit of the throat. Living by the hangman's noose, Black as the night and black as the day. Watching your dreams fade away, Watching you walk away from this life. Tear the pages, wipe the blade. Suffocate under me. Tear the pages, wipe the blade, Suffocate under me. Under me. Soulless, vile, bitter and empty. The ones we loved, now lost once more. Hanging down, a lifeless form. No-one left around to seethe. Onto this life we breathe, Onto this life we steal. Steal the life of those, We crave most. Onto the page, this bloodied scrawl. It remains to be a memory for all to see.

Do you want to know the truth? There is no greater pain than losing someone you love. These words that I scream are only a fraction of what I mean. A reality you wish wasn't real. Only a fucked up and twisted dream. No words, no actions can make any sense of this. With clenched my fists, I look to the sky and scream. I will remember. All the things you stood for. We will remember. All the things you made us feel. I will remember. When all hope was lost and forgotten. I will remember. If this is all that remains then so be it. Then so be it. Then so be it. We all bear demons, We all bear pain. But how we cope and survive is what truly tests us. Only time will tell, only time will heal. Please tell me what I’m supposed to feel. Rediscover and reconnect the senses that once made us tick Kills me in pleasure, kills me in pain, Praying things will be the same again, Holding you close, breathing your air Despair without you, I can't feel again No one can feel it, feel this pain, So fucking be it, I'll say it again Pray hallelujah, amen to your God, I dare you to try fill this space in my heart. Light up the skies, forgive all your fears, On your knees scream so be it, It'll never be the same again. Left with resignation of mind, heart ache and pain, You've gifted me with everything, I hope I did the same. I've been at war with myself for far too long The demons inside were always so strong. I never thought I'd see a day, where I'd wake up never feeling like this way.

about

Thanks to...

Collectively we would like to thank each and everyone of you for sticking with us over the last 5 years and the journey we have all been through to get this album out. We love you all.

We would like to thank all of our friends and family for their support and strength; without whom none of this would have been possible.
The biggest of thanks to our friends back home in Hacktivist, Heart Of A Coward, Seethe, Immaterium, Cross Burner and Sick Leave for their support and joining us in making the ATW Fest a massive success. Also to Jason, Max and all of the folks at The Craufurd Arms who have helped us out over the years and put up with our shit. That place is the #1 independent music venue in the UK and we are thankful for everything they have done and are still doing for live music.

Huge love and thanks to No Consequence, Carcer City, Shields, From Sorrow To Serenity, The Sun Explodes, A Trust Unclean, Orion, No Sin Evades His Gaze and Ariyah for paying tribute to Alex at the Techabilitation show and to Angelo Pandolfi for being an absolute legend in setting that up.

To THE man Simon Garrod who guided us and supported us during the early days and gave us the opportunities to play Tech Fest over the years and also to all involved at UK Tech-Metal Fest for their banner of Alex displayed at UKTMF 2015.

Ultimately to our fans for having the patience of saints and for putting up with our set backs and delays and were still eager and supportive to hear the album even if it was 3 years late... You guys are the best.

To anyone who ever came to a show, bought a t-shirt or an EP, moshed, danced, did push-ups in the pit or just stood there and bobbed their head. Thank you.

Finally; this album is dedicated to our brother and best friend Alex Todd-Weller and the Todd-Weller family; Ian, Lesley, Abby and all the rest whom we love very much. This is for you.
